SOUL & R&B GUITAR - SPECIAL WORKSHOP!

Are you into the new wave of soul artists like James Hunter and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings? Want to learn how to play the guitar styles of Stax and Motown, James Brown, Sly Stone, Parliament/Funkadelic and The Meters?

I'll show you how to play the guitar styles of Southern soul, Motown, Chicago, New Orleans. You'll get a deeper understanding for how these guitar styles evolved from 50's doo-wop to 70's funk.

You'll improve your groove, expand your chord vocabulary, understand song arrangements and the role of guitar, bass and drums in R&B, learn lots of really cool, licks... and get the tools to come up with your own licks.

One-hour and half-hour lessons available. You can come once a week or every other week. Very
reasonable rates.
